Ligament tear in shoulder?

About 6 months ago I pulled my shoulder really quickly.this caused pain instantly.over the past 6 months the pain has come and gone.but this past month the pain has got really bad! To the stage where I'm in agony at times.the pain feels like my collar bone is wanting to break.and pain under my arm and up my neck.I cannot lift the arm above my head.I went to the doctors who said ligament tear and sent me for a xray.the xray came back fine so now I'm being sent for a scan on my shoulder.3 doctors have told me it will be a tear.I have to wait until tuesday for the scan but I'm finding it really difficult.also I work with ppl with challenging behaviour and am on my probation at work so if I'm sick I owe them money! I'm really fed up with this now! I don't know if I should be working with the injury or not?
