Is casey anthoney and her defense attorneys stupid?

Jose Baez does have a bit of a tainted past but I don't think he's stupid. My question is what's with the judge? Supposedly he is a respected judge but he takes forever to say anything then when he does he says bofe instead of both or wiff instead of with and axe instead of ask. I asked this question on Yahoo before and the only answer I got is that there are different accents in America. Accents are regional and/or ethnic. Perry's mispronunciation is not because he's from Florida.
