What can I do about my knee?

Since my second knee surgery in January I haven't been able to feel my knee. Is this normal after a surgery or would it have gone away in a couple of weeks after the surgery? The second knee surgery that I had done was a Medial Patella Femoral Ligament Reconstruction. Now my knee is back to popping like it was before I had the second knee surgery. I have been seeing my surgeon but he is not sure of what he could do more to my knee. What should I do about the knee being numb and about the popping? Please help.
