Did we do the right thing?

A few days ago, me and some friends were at my house hanging out. We all got a text message from this kid in our class and it was a naked picture of our friend. We went over her house to see if she knew about it and she was crying cuz she got a lot of texts and facebook messages saying bad stuff about her. We knew where this kid lived so we went to his house and we gave him a high 5 and asked if he had more pics of her. He did and when he turned around I pushed him and my friend kicked his knee and he tore 3 of his 4 knee ligaments. We hated to see our friend cry because this dude (her ex bf) sent everyone in our class naked pics of her and posted them on facebook. Is what we did bad? We're 17
