Worse thing that can happen when having fried hair?

Alright so a few days ago I had a accident lol I fried my hair :( I have really short hair, like how Rihanna's hair was in her take a bow music video. so yeah my hair isn't crispy, when it's dry it feels like regular hair just kinda dry. but when it's wet it feels thick and feathery lol. I have a hair appt. tomorrow, thinking of going a lot shorter, like a pixie cut short. hopefully when going short like that it will snip a lot of the friedness out of my hair??? ugh I hope... My hugest fear is having to shave my head. all jokes aside please. I bought some beyond the zone - last call from sallys. and I bought some Pantene Pro-v (dry to moisturized) shamp and conditioner. hopefully that will help bring moisture back to my hair?
