Do I Have A Wrongful Death Suit?

My Nephew died almost 1 1/2 yrs ago, he died from a result of being stabbed 6 times, one fatally to the heart, the person who stabbed him was just found not guilty of 2nd degree murder or vulintary manslaughter, my nephew started a fist fight, no weapons involved on my nephews side, one punch was thrown by my nephew, the knife came out and the stabbings happened, his left arm was almost severed he also was stabbed 4.24 inches into his chest causing the fatal wound to his heart.. this all happened within 1.42 minutes...after the stabbing the person who did this ran and NEVER reported it to the police as an attack.. he was apprehended hours later.. blood was founf on the knife he still was carrying with him upon arrest, anyway a jury went with the defense and found the defendant not guilty.. Do you think i have a Wrongful Death Suit against the defendant?? He used accsessive force and could have gotton away without killing my nephew...
