If a victim of criminal head trauma dies suddenly of a brain haemorrhage about a year after the crime can the criminal be charged with manslaughter under UK law? The victim was discharged from hospital several weeks after the offence. The criminal has already been tried for the initial assault and sentenced to seven years in prison. His victim died on Wednesday.
